Anubhav Kaushish is a Los Angeles-based Director of Photography and Director, originally from Chandigarh, India. After completing his Bachelor’s degree in Animation, he worked in the Indian film industry as an Assistant Director for three years. During this time, his initial goal of becoming a director gradually shifted as he developed a keen interest in the art of cinematography, particularly in the use of lighting to shape a scene.
With a desire to deepen his understanding of filmmaking and broaden his connections, he moved to Los Angeles to pursue his Master’s in Film from the New York Film Academy. This transition allowed him to refine his skills and adapt to the demands of the U.S. film industry.
He has since worked as Director of Photography on numerous short films, where his ability to craft visually compelling stories has become a hallmark of his work. His background across both the Indian and U.S. industries offers a unique perspective that informs his creative process, blending technical precision with a nuanced approach to visual storytelling.
Outside of his work, his love for travel and film continues to inspire his creative vision, allowing him to approach each project with a fresh perspective and a constant desire to explore new techniques and ideas.
